We continue to sing the praises of two small independent Champagne houses – Georges Gardet in Chigny-les-Roses on the Montagne de Reims and Gosset in Aÿ. Our House Champagne, Gardet’s Cuvée Saint-Flavy, continues to represent great value for a wine with significant bottle age and their Brut Special, with more Pinot Noir in the blend, has more weight and structure. Gosset’s wines go from strength to strength. For big names we like Bollinger Special Cuvée, Pol Roger White Foil and Louis Roederer Brut Premier. A fairly new addition is Jacquesson's delicious Cuvée No 730.

Nyetimber – made with Champagne grapes grown on greensand in West Sussex with the help of a consultant winemaker from Champagne - has received great acclaim recently after the 1998 Classic Cuvee won the 2006 Yarden Trophy in the International Wine & Spirits Competition for the world's best non-champagne sparkling wine AND yes, we do have real live stock of the 2000 Premiere Cuvée.
