Wine Tastings September to November 2009
Children are back at school and summer holidays are over so it's time to let you know details of our Autumn wine tastings. You will notice that in addition to our usual evening tutored tastings at the Georgian House Hotel, we are continuing to hold a few more informal (and free!) Saturday morning tastings at the shop in West Street. These are to launch new products or new vintages of old favourites and there will always be special offer prices available on the day. This year we are changing the format of our Christmas Tasting. With so many wines to taste, in previous years many of you have told me that it would be good to have some food to accompany the tasting. Accordingly this year the ticket price (only £10) will include buffet supper and a cheeseboard. To accomodate our caterers more easily this tasting will be held in Haslemere Museum.

Wednesday 7th October
We are very grateful to the Sherry Institute for their support for this tasting
I am delighted to welcome Bruce Perry to show us how good "proper" Sherry can be. Bruce will explain Sherry production methods and tutor us through a tasting of all styles from Manzanilla through Palo Cortado to Pedro Ximenez. The tasting will be accompanied by a range of suitable tapas to show us how well Sherry goes with food.
