GREECE
This dessert wine is fantastically good value. It’s also worth noting that it ages well – a 1975 tasted last year had gained great complexity and elegance.

Made from raisined Muscat grapes in a similar fashion to the Ben Ryé in Pantelleria (see page 20) rather merely by stopped fermentation. Scents of dried dates and figs on the nose. Concentrated raisin fruit character backed up by firm acidity on the mid-palate and flavours of dried dates in the finish. |
